The Pathways to Biliteracy Club is a welcoming space where your languages and culture are celebrated as strengths. This club is designed to help students grow their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in both their home language and English—while having fun and connecting with others!
What Is the Pathways to Biliteracy Club?
The Pathways to Biliteracy Club supports students on their journey toward the Pathways to Biliteracy Award, a special recognition that honors your language skills, culture, and academic achievement. Being bilingual is a powerful advantage, and this club helps you build confidence and pride in who you are.
What Will We Do in the Club?
- In the Pathways to Biliteracy Club, you will:
- Practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening in your home language and English
- Work with other students through fun activities and collaboration
- Explore cultural expression through stories, discussions, and projects
- Get support and guidance to help you earn the Pathways to Biliteracy Award
- Skills You’ll Build
- Being part of this club will help you grow in important ways:
- Language Confidence: Strengthen both your home language and English
- Academic Skills: Improve literacy skills that support success in all classes
